Abhishekam is an ancient ritual worship of bathing the Divine form, murti, in several different substances. The substances are symbolic of five elements: earth, water, fire, air and ether. By offering these elements symbolically to our beloved Satguru, Paramahamsa Vishwanda and the temple deities both the internal and external environment are brought into balance, positivity and Divine Love. This beautiful ceremony is followed by Yajña, which means selfless sacrifice for a noble purpose. The yajna ritual is an ancient fire ceremony done for purification and worship; it is one of the most powerful prayer rituals we do. The practice helps us to surrender through the act of making sacrificial offerings to the Divine.
Once a month we conduct the grand abhishekam on the main deities in our temple, Sri Ranganath Mandir – most welcome to join us!
