The Sri Ranganath Mandir, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Ranganatha, a reclining form of the Hindu deity, Maha Vishnu. It is situated right in the heart of the Island of Mauritius in Stanley, Rose-Hill, and is one of the most beautiful temple in all of Mauritius.


Sri Ranganath is the presiding deity of Sri Ranganath Mandir in Rose Hill. Ranganath is a deity in a resting form of Lord Vishnu, recumbent on the great form the serpent God Adishesha. His consort is Goddess Maha Lakshmi. This is the form in which he is open to listening to all of his devotee’s woes, and blesses them.

The Murti Sthapana or Prana Pratishtha of Sri Ranaganth was performed by Acharya Shree Sudarshana Devendra Appayah and Paramahamsa Vishwananda on the 19th August, 2017.
